The Royal BVI Yacht Club are looking for volunteers to assist with their Youth Sailing Programme. Volunteers will be required to assist on Saturday mornings from 9:30am - 12:00pm.

Ms. Natasha is looking for 2 students to assist with the sorting of books in the teacher's reference room. Each student will be required to sort several boxes of text books, old library books and donated books into text, fiction and non-fiction.

The activity will be held from 3:15 - 5:15.

The Lions Club of Tortola are looking for three volunteers to assist at their 6th Annual Games for Special Needs Persons.

Date:          Saturday, 9 October 2010
Venue:      A.O Shirley Recreation Grounds
Time       10:00am - 3:00pm (approximately)

Students will be required to assist athletes at the starting line, as well as recording scores with the officials. In addition to volunteers, students are also encouraged to come and watch the races on the day.

 
A opportunity for a technological student:

Many of Cedar's teaching resources are currently on old VHS tapes. We are looking for a student who would be willing, and has the equipment, to convert these VHS tapes to DVD.

Ms. True is looking for two students either in Grade 10 or 11 to do a morning duty in the Kindergarten area. This service activity would require you to be at school from 8:15 to 8:30 every morning.

The Secondary phase will be hosting their "Meet the Teacher Night" on this night.

Mr. Jenkinson is looking for six volunteers to take care of the children who will be attending the evening. Volunteers will be required to stay with the younger children in Room 222, or play games with the more senior students on the pitch.
